[DOOM gameplay on Ultra Violence @high GTX780] Glory kills and GORY kills!

Yeah I bought the new DOOM. Here’s some pretty cool action from that. First impressions if you will. Liking the old skool straight forward action!

I’ve already done a gallery from Last Light Redux from the Metro series and it’s a great game. So is Metro 2033 but the Redux version has been completely remade with upgraded weapons, graphics, level design and some story elements. So if you’ve played the first game, it’s still very worthwhile to get this one too.

Again the game is set in alternative future Moscow where a strange force/species is causing trouble to the people living in the metro tunnels. Still not going to spoil the story for you so you’re going to have to experience it yourself. 🙂

The gameplay is smooth and entertaining albeit a little tubey.. It doesn’t matter though, the atmosphere is more important in the Metro games. You have a choice in what weapons to use and how to modify them as well as a choice in whether to advance guns blazing or to choose a more subtle, stealthy approach.

Oh and almost forgot! The game is insanely pretty! So you need more than a potato to run it but an OC’d GTX 780 will do fine. 🙂 Here’s some proof:

Metro: Last Light is a sequel to Metro 2033 and the Redux version is an updated version of the game. It has some graphical improvements as well as tweaks here and there. But unlike 2033 Redux, it hasn’t been completely remade so if you own Metro: LL you probably don’t get much out of this one. Strongly recommend the Redux version of the 2033 though!

I won’t give out the plot in case someone hasn’t played the games or read the books yet but I can say it’s very atmospheric and is set in alternative future Moscow. And as you can see from the screenshots, it’s also very pretty. I’ve replayed the series twice. It was fun.
